NYC Opportunity helps the City use evidence and innovation to reduce poverty and increase equity. NYC Opportunity and David Berman, Director of Programs & Evaluation, has been involved with the Save for College Program since its inception, leading efforts to center parent/guardian feedback, incorporate best practices from other cities and research, and supporting the setting up of structures to ensure equity and inclusion. NYC Opportunity has also played a lead role in working to make sure the Save for College Program continuously evaluates its success, and that it is set up to measure success and impact over time.
