Nadia Landy

Parent/ Guardian

Parent/Guardians have and continue to play a fundamental role in building and adapting the Save for College Program. Community Scholarships provide a way for communities to come together and leverage their unique assets to support college and career training opportunities. The Astoria Houses Tenants Organization launched a Community Scholarship Campaign to raise $1,000 for every child with an NYC Scholarship Account in Astoria Houses. Following the campaign’s launch, Nadia Landy joined other parent/guardians, Tenant leaders and NYC Kids RISE for regular meetings to strategize and brainstorm on the efforts to raise money, to facilitate the student’s families to complete the three Building Blocks and to connect with each other.
