Debra-Ellen Glickstein

Founding Executive Director, NYC Kids RISE

A foundational tenet of the Save for College Program is that every neighborhood and every stakeholder has assets — financial and non-financial — that can be, and in many cases already are, leveraged to promote our children’s collective educational and economic success. Here Debra-Ellen Glickstein, Founding Executive Director of NYC Kids RISE, talks about the promise and power of the Save for College Program network across and within neighborhoods, and the fundamental importance of shared social, cultural, political and financial capital to support all of our children.

Debra-Ellen has been involved in nearly every stage of the development of the Program since her time as Executive Director of the NYC Office of Financial Empowerment.
