Jabari Brown

Parent Coordinator, P.S. 234

As the lead on family engagement and empowerment at their school and the main point person for the Save for College Program, Parent Coordinators have played a central role in designing the platform and customizing it to best suit the parents/guardians and families they work with every day. From the very first meeting he attended, Parent Coordinator Jabari Brown at P.S. 234 has worked tirelessly to make sure the Program is responsive to the needs of the families at his school and in his community. As a creative way to engage families, at the beginning of each month, he hosts “College Money Mondays” to speak with families about the Save for College Program in the context of the school’s overall push for college awareness and readiness.
