Greg Schiefelbein

NY Tri-State Market Leader, Citi Community Investing and Development

One of the Save for College Program’s first funders, Citi has been a strategic thought partner from the early days. Citi invested in the Program’s pilot phase to support community engagement, community partnerships, and accessibility of the Program’s online and offline materials. With their support, NYC Kids RISE was able to translate the Program materials in 10 languages and hire a team of Neighborhood Ambassadors to provide one-on-one support to families and conduct multilingual educational financial empowerment workshops. Also with Citi’s support, and with Greg Schiefelbein’s leadership and expertise, NYC Kids RISE launched “the Community Based Organization Collaborative” a learning community of diverse community based organizations across pilot neighborhoods with the purpose of using the Save for College Program to further foster neighborhoods of educational and economic opportunity.
