Long-time Community Leader, April Simpson previously served as the President of the Queensbridge Resident Association, the tenants association of Queensbridge Houses residents, the nation’s largest public housing development. Whether it be providing feedback during strategy sessions around program design, co-sponsoring the Kick-Off event at Queensbridge with Urban Upbound, sharing information at Resident Association meetings and throughout the community, or raising awareness and scholarship funds through the Concert for College and the Funding LIC Future Community Scholarship Campaign, April and the Queensbridge Resident Association has played a key role every step of the way.
